We CAN end homelessness in Greater Victoria by creating additional supportive and affordable housing.
The Coalition’s 2012 Housing Procurement Action Plan calls for the creation of more than 950 units of supportive housing to end homelessness by 2018 – through both new construction and through the provision of rental supplements. Vision to Reality, the Street Survival Guide
Last August the Coalition kicked off our first social inclusion based project: the creation of a Street Survival Guide for those experiencing and living at risk of homelessness. The project started with four focus groups at different agencies with 37 participants. From those initial meetings a core group of 9 dedicated Survival Guide Team members formed. Continue reading
